The Story Behind Sheridan Care

In the beginning of 2001, Sheridan Care was born — not just as an organization, but as a genuine promise to the caring community in the Greater Los Angeles area. From our very first day, our purpose was not merely to provide help but to extend life-enhancing, soul-nourishing care.

Our Caregivers, Our Family

We envisioned caregivers who were more than employees — they were part of our larger family, deeply devoted to their caregiving mission. Trained and supported within our team, they are the soul of Sheridan, making it possible for our clients to savor the peace and moments that only a home can offer, year after year.

A Journey of Love and Growth

From just one devoted caregiver to a growing family of more than 150, the journey of Sheridan is a representation of the shared compassion and expertise of our team. Yet, this incredible journey wouldn't have been possible without the lasting influence drawn from Susan’s family legacy.

Legacy in Every Touch

Hellen Sheridan

Our name — Sheridan — is more than just a designation; it’s a honor to two inspiring women, Helen Sheridan and Sara Sheridan Dost, whose spirits represent the values we hold dear. Susan’s grandmother settled farmland in Michigan that became the nurturing soil where generations were nurtured. It’s her indomitable work ethic and natural entrepreneurial spirit that continue to breathe life into every aspect of our service.

Every day, the influence of powerful, caring women like Helen and Sara fuels our commitment to offer exceptional care. It’s this woven story of family, history, and enduring devotion that forms Sheridan Care today, inspiring us to touch lives, lift spirits, and make home the safest, happiest place to be — for all the precious moments yet to come.

We’re not just a company; we're a family — grounded in tradition, nourished by compassion, and inspired by purpose. And so, our spirits remain ever kind, ever faithful, to caring for you. Our caregivers are totally committed, professionally skilled, and thoughtfully chosen individuals. Most importantly, they are reliable, warm, and empathetic people. We hire only the caregivers that we would want taking care of our own family.
